Medical Vision Institute is expanding and looking for a Clinic Associate / Medical Assistant to join our high-performing eye care team. You’ll play a key role supporting physicians, documenting medical information, and guiding patients through their visit and treatment plan. About the Role
As a Clinic Associate, you’ll assist our physicians in real time by entering medical data into our EHR system, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining compliance with insurance and billing standards. You’ll also educate patients on ocular procedures and treatments, helping them feel informed and supported throughout their care.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Accurately documenting patient encounters and histories (medical, medication, family, and chief complaints).
- Counseling patients regarding the physician’s treatment plan or upcoming procedures.
- Maintaining organized and accurate medical records and insurance data.
- Coordinating correspondence between providers and departments.
- Answering calls, scheduling appointments, and assisting with check-in/check-out.
- Performing visual screenings and diagnostic testing (training provided).
- Supporting daily clinical operations to ensure smooth workflow and patient satisfaction.
What We’re Looking For

- Excellent attention to detail and accurate spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
- Strong listening and summarization abilities.

Education:
- Bachelor's degree preferred
Experience:
- Prior experience in a medical or ophthalmology office is appreciated but not required. Comprehensive on-the-job training provided.
Language:
Fluency in Spanish is highly desired.
