POSITION: Dialysis Technician Instructor (Adjunct)
Medical Training Institute of New York is currently recruiting for an experienced Adjunct faculty member in the Hemodialysis/Dialysis Technician Program that exhibits strong communication skills with the willingness to train students to become Certified Dialysis Technician.
Candidates must have experience teaching in a classroom or/and in a synchronous environment and have a minimum of 2 years in Hemodialysis/Dialysis Practice.
This is a part-time teaching position to begin immediately and will provide instruction in the classroom and online with a laboratory setting. You should be fully committed to the Mission and Values of the Medical Training Institute of New York
JOB SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Nurse program Director, the Hemodialysis/Dialysis Technician Instructor will teach the didactic and clinical components of a curriculum designed to help students build knowledge and clinical skills aimed at enabling students to be employed as successful Hemodialysis/Dialysis technicians and provide preparation for the passing the national competency exam.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Instruction including hands-on and theory, classroom management, and administrative tasks that may include reports, syllabus, and lesson plan development.
- Prepare and/or maintain current course syllabi for a course taught.
- Ensure that course is taught under the established syllabi.
- Recommend for approval adequate instructional materials for the course.
- Recommend adequate laboratory facilities/equipment for the assigned course.
- Supervision of students.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Certified Hemodialysis Technician [CCHT or CCHT–A] or Registered Nurse with CDN, CNN, or Nurse Practitioner with CNN-NP or Licensed Practical Nurse with CD-LPN or RN with related certification/experience.

- Teaching experience
Education:
- Bachelor's (Preferred)
- Associate degree with two (2) years of experience in the discipline with one (1) year of experience in an acute dialysis center (inpatient or outpatient setting) required
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION CCHT/CHT
Certification by one of the nationally recognized certification agencies (NNCC or BONENT) is required. Must have a current AHA BLS Healthcare Provider or AHA BLS Instructor Provider card.
