Enterprise Solution Architect – Job Description
Medical Solutions creates innovative and engaging software that is used by a diverse set of customers, both internal and external. The software we create is a vital component of a company that is changing the landscape in the travel nursing industry.
Our team is currently looking for an Enterprise Solutions Architect who is passionate about creating robust and scalable solutions. As an Enterprise Solutions Architect, you’ll be directly responsible for the Solution Architecture Center of Excellence, a cross-functional team that provides guidance and sets standards for how solution architecture is performed across all technology teams. Working closely with other Solution Architects, you’ll be a high-level advisor on a wide variety of development and analytics projects. In coordination with Enterprise Architecture, you'll also lead design efforts for foundational technology enablement projects.
Job Responsibilities:
- Be an example for people by exhibiting Medical Solutions core values in everything you do.
- Provide oversight in application design by collaborating with solution architects and participating directly in architectural discussions for high-visibility projects.
- Generalize needs into well-defined, documented standards covering high-level design principles, approved design patterns, best practice usages of common technologies, etc.
- Collaborate with technical leads to ensure standards are well understood and correctly applied across all development teams.
- Participate in the build-out of reference implementations for common architectural standards.
- Ensure technical designs align to enterprise standards for security, scalability, performance, etc.
- Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture to ensure solutions align with the overall technology roadmap, considering both current needs and future objectives.
- Collaborate with data architects to ensure master data, analytical, and data science needs are considered and accounted for.
- Work closely with enterprise architecture, product management and business stakeholders to understand markets, opportunities, risks, and challenges.
- Encourage an outcome-driven approach to solution design, focused on incremental delivery of business value.
- Serve as an agent of change that propels the company and products into the future.
Job Qualifications:
- 15 years of experience in application software development.
- 5 years of experience in solution architecture.
- High demonstrable knowledge of C# and .NET Core development.
- Experience with cloud platforms, including Microsoft Azure and AWS.
- Experience with microservice architecture.
- Experience with relational and NoSQL database technologies.
- Experience with agile development methodologies.
- Experience with automated testing and CI/CD deployment.
- Working knowledge of the SDLC process.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
