Primary Responsibilities
- Record daily financial transactions (income, expenses, receipts, purchases)
- Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) (invoicing, collections)
- Assist accountant to reconcile bank accounts and general ledgers monthly
- Ensure data integrity
- Utilize accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks Online, Excel) for data entry and reporting
- Assist with audits and provide financial data to external accountants
Experience, Skills, Software Required
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper, financial administrator, or similar role with increasing responsibility
- Strong proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks Online preferred) and MS Excel; experience with NoviAMS is a plus
- Deep understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and internal controls (GAAP)
- Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion on matters of significance, including financial decision-making and reporting
- Exceptional analytical, organizational, and project management skills; able to prioritize multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment
- Professional and collaborative approach with internal staff, members, and external partners
- Flexibility to work outside standard business hours when necessary to meet deadlines or support critical business operations
