Job description:
Medical Services of America Home Health and Hospice, a member of the MSA family is currently seeking a Registered Nurse to fill a Full-Time Clinical Manager for our Hospice location in Norton (Wise, Lee, Dickenson, Scott) VA.
- Receiving, processing and assigning the appropriate staff for all patient referrals.
- Verifying reimbursement source prior to rendering service.
- Preparing monthly schedules for patient care staff under the direct supervision of the clinical manager.
- Distributing prepared schedules to appropriate staff.
- Receiving and verifying weekly schedules against the monthly schedule for accuracy.
- Reviewing schedules on a daily basis.
- Rescheduling any missed visits
- Preparing weekend schedules.
- Maintaining weekly discharges and/or recertification dates in schedule book.
- Preparing daily census and weekly visit count productivity report for administration.
- Keeping an accurate record of supervisory HHA visits.
- Reviewing mileage sheets and itineraries for accuracy.
- Distributing clinical reports to patient care staff as required.
- Receiving lab reports.
- Assisting with supplementary staffing of patients as required.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school of nursing preferred.
- Minimum of two years clinical nursing experience required.
- Minimum of one year supervisory experience, preferably in a Home Health or Hospice setting
- Licensed RN in the state of VA.
- Valid driver’s license.
