Company Description Medical Scholars Society (MSS) is a growing community of high school students who are passionate about healthcare and the medical sciences. The organization is built on three core pillars: healthcare exposure, college readiness, and pre-medical development. Based in St. Louis, Missouri, MSS is designing a scalable framework for national expansion, including structured student onboarding, leadership development pathways, and community-based programs. MSS offers opportunities for motivated students to gain meaningful experience in leadership and program development while preparing for future academic and professional goals. Role Description The High School Student: Executive Director @ Medical Scholars Society is a full-time, on-site role based in St. Louis, MO. The Executive Director will oversee daily operations, coordinate student programs and events, and support the implementation of MSS’s healthcare exposure, college readiness, and pre-medical development initiatives. Responsibilities include leading student leadership teams, collaborating with advisors and community partners, assisting with student onboarding processes, and helping guide organizational strategy and growth. The role also involves communicating with members and families, providing support for student success, and maintaining clear documentation and communication channels for ongoing projects.

Qualifications

• Strong Communication skills, including clear writing, public speaking, and active listening.
• Experience or interest in Student Counseling and providing peer support in academic or extracurricular settings.
• Demonstrated Student Leadership, including organizing clubs, teams, or school initiatives.
• Basic understanding or interest in Student Financial Aid processes and college planning resources.
• Ability to contribute to Strategic Planning, including setting goals, organizing timelines, and evaluating progress.
• Currently enrolled in high school, with strong academic performance and interest in healthcare or medical sciences.
• Organizational and time management skills, with the ability to balance school responsibilities and leadership duties.
• Collaborative mindset, respect for diverse backgrounds and perspectives, and commitment to creating an inclusive student community.
