Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Correctional Facility
Location: Toledo, OH
Pay: $22.00–$24.00/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM (Evening Shift)
Contract: Minimum 6-Month Assignment
Employment Type: Full-Time | 40 Hours/Week
We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team at Correctional Institution . This is a full-time opportunity in a correctional healthcare setting, offering a consistent weekday schedule and comprehensive training.
What We Offer:
- $22.00–$24.00 per hour
- Monday–Friday schedule
- Evening shift (2:00 PM – 10:00 PM)
- 40 hours per week
- Minimum 6-month assignment
- Two weeks of paid training, including Pill Pass, Pharmacy, and physician support training
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer medications and provide nursing care within the LPN scope of practice.
- Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions, treatments, and medication responses.
- Perform nursing procedures including wound care, specimen collection, catheter care, oxygen administration, IM/SubQ injections, and vital signs.
- Assist physicians with examinations, treatments, and laboratory procedures.
- Maintain medication accountability, patient records, and inventory of medical supplies.
- Provide direct patient care, assist with daily living activities, and participate in interdisciplinary team meetings.
Requirements:
- Active Ohio Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license.
- Proof of completion of an approved medication administration course.
- IV Therapy Certification required for nurses administering dialysis treatments.
- Comfortable working in an all-male correctional facility.
- Ability to frequently climb and descend stairs (2-floor facility).
