What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Records Coordinator- Oncology position at Medical Oncology Associates of San Diego?
Due to company growth and internal promotion we are looking for a Medical Records Coordinator to join our team!
This team member must be friendly, organized, energetic, and reliable. Must have great work ethic, communication and have attention to detail.
Duties include:
- Locates missing information and scans to the EHR queue for provider sign off.
- Works with the cancer registry for information requests.
- Pulls phone messages, faxes, and delivers to appropriate area.
- Files correspondence, lab results, notes, etc. under proper tabs in the EHR
- Handles release of information.
- Answers incoming calls for Medical Records.
- Interfaces with Physicians/Nurses as needed.
- Respects the dignity and confidentiality of patients.
- Complies with clinic safety policy and procedures.
- Possesses good communication skills that lend to a team-oriented work environment.
- Attends staff meetings as scheduled.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
Pay Range: $21.00 per hour - $24.00 per hour
Requirements:
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
Certificate from a Health Information Technology program a plus
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 5:00PM
