Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join our healthcare team in providing comprehensive patient care across various medical settings. The ideal candidate will possess extensive clinical experience, ONLY IN hospital , with proficiency in EMR systems such as : Cerner. This role involves performing detailed patient assessments, managing acute and chronic conditions. The Physician Assistant will collaborate closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care while adhering to HIPAA regulations and best practices . Experience in specialized areas such as critical care.
Duties
- Conduct thorough physical examinations and patient assessments, including vital signs and medical history documentation using EMR systems.
- Assist in diagnostic evaluations, including ordering and interpreting laboratory tests, imaging studies, and other diagnostic procedures.
- Support inpatient care by participating in admit and discharge planning
- Administer medications following proper CPT coding and medication administration guidelines;
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care for patients across diverse populations
- Document all patient interactions accurately within electronic health records (EHR) systems while maintaining HIPAA compliance.
Qualifications
- Valid Physician Assistant license with current certification to practice in the state of employment.
- Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems including : Cerner
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), CPT coding procedures for billing purposes.
- Experience performing physical examinations, diagnostic evaluations, medication administration (including injections), and basic life support certification required.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient-centered care; ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
