Facilities Technician

Executes general maintenance functions to ensure the daily operation and upkeep of the buildings.

Responsibilities

• Completes service/maintenance requests ( includes off site support and snow removal functions.)
• Assists with the daily operation of the building systems to ensure all mechanical systems, air handlers, chiller, UPS systems and kitchen equipment are working properly.
• Handles recycling program. Includes the picking up of confidential containers.
• Completes departmental moves/relocation---including installing and tearing down cubes.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
  
  

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED required. Associate Degree Preferred.
• 5 years of building maintenance experience required.
• Experience with building automation and fire systems.
  
  

Technical Skills and Knowledge:

• Ability to read blue prints and floor plans.
• Working knowledge of building HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems.
• Ability to use hand and shop tools.
• Ability to use of forklift or other mechanical lifting equipment required.
