Job Overview
We are seeking a driven Independent Medical Device Sales Representative to cover an established multi-city territory across South and Central Texas. You will serve as the primary point of contact between leading medical device manufacturers and hospital systems throughout the region. This is a 1099 independent contractor opportunity with a competitive commission-based compensation structure. Ideal for a self-starter with clinical knowledge who thrives working autonomously.
Duties
- Manage and grow an existing book of hospital accounts across a defined territory
- Build and maintain relationships with clinical staff, department managers, and key decision-makers
- Provide clinical education, in-service training, and product support to healthcare teams
- Develop strategic territory plans to expand market presence
- Travel regularly throughout the territory, prioritizing efficient routing across multiple cities
- Track account activity and pipeline using CRM tools
- Collaborate with manufacturer partners on sales strategies and product launches
Qualifications
- Clinical background strongly preferred (Respiratory Therapy, NICU, or related healthcare experience)
- Medical device or B2B healthcare sales experience a plus
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
- Strong relationship-building and consultative selling skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage a territory independently
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel extensively within the region
