Overview
We are seeking a hands-on Lead Electro-Mechanical Technician to maintain automated and semi-automated manufacturing equipment and support production reliability. This role requires balanced electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, preventive maintenance execution, and serving as the technical escalation point for equipment failures.
The technician will work closely under production supervision and report directly to plant leadership to minimize downtime, improve equipment reliability, and maintain structured documentation in a regulated manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
· Troubleshoot low-voltage electrical systems (5–24VDC), sensors, control boards PLC and PCB, also basic machine wiring.
· Diagnose and repair mechanical systems including pneumatic components, conveyors, drive systems, and wear components
· Support production changeovers and line startups, resolving mechanical jams and material flow issues
· Execute preventive maintenance (PM) and support equipment calibration (CAL)
· Maintain work order documentation in CMMS and identify repeat equipment failures
· Coordinate with production supervisors and plant leadership during equipment downtime events
· Serve as technical lead for complex troubleshooting and mentor future junior technicians
· Enforce LOTO safety procedures and good documentation practices
Qualifications
· 2–3 years industrial maintenance experience
· Experience troubleshooting low-voltage electrical
· Strong mechanical maintenance skills on automated and semi-automated equipment
· Ability to read electrical and mechanical schematics
· Experience using multimeters and diagnostic tools (meter, oscilloscope, etc)
· Familiarity with CMMS systems and Microsoft Office applications ( outlook , excel, word)
· Basic wire soldering ability preferred but not required
· Bilingual (Spanish or Polish) a plus but not required
Candidates must demonstrate the ability to systematically troubleshoot equipment failures using schematics, instrumentation, and logical fault isolation techniques.
Pay: $27.00 - $30.00 per hour
