Duties
- Administer intravenous (IV) therapy and medications as prescribed, ensuring adherence to aseptic techniques.
- Perform patient assessments and monitor vital signs before, during, and after IV therapy.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Document all patient interactions, treatments, and responses accurately in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Keep the clinic organized, stocked, and tidy.
- Educate patients and families on IV therapy procedures
- Maintain equipment and supplies necessary for IV administration; ensure compliance with infection control protocols.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to NCQA standards.
Requirements
- Current RN license in TN.
- Proven experience in IV insertion, medication administration, injections, and patient care.
- Familiarity with EMR systems such as eClinical Works preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Experience working with diverse populations is a plus.
- Ability to perform basic life support (BLS) and maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations.
