Job Description/Duties:
· Serves as clinical resource person for the Imaging Department.
· Provides patient care, monitoring and education before, during and after minimally invasive, image-guided procedures using x-ray/fluoroscopy, US, and CT.
· Helps in scheduling interventional procedures.
· Reviews procedure requests/orders, office notes, and labs to ensure that patients are appropriate for outpatient setting without sedation.
· Prepares room, equipment, medicine and materials as needed for procedures.
· Renders individualized, age specific and direct bedside nursing care to adult and geriatric patients based on the nursing process and patient needs.
· Cleans and disinfects procedure room and equipment post procedure.
· Coordinates care planning with other offices.
· Observes safety guidelines and safe work practices including OSHA and BBP.
· Aids with quality improvement monitoring, problem identification, remedial action activities and reporting.
· Management of potential complications and medical emergencies including, but not limited to, allergic reactions to medication/contrast dye.

Minimum Requirements:
- Graduate from an accredited RN program
- New York RN License in good standing
- Critical care experience in the ED or ICU. Candidates with previous Paramedic experience will also be considered.
- BLS within 30 days of hire
- ACLS within 3 months of hire
Preferred Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of experience (preferred)
· Experience with accessing/using ports and placing IVs
· Oncology, IR or OR experience preferred
· Experience with sterile procedure set-up
