Job Description
We are seeking a contracted Ophthalmologist or Optometrist to perform examinations and interpret clinical data.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct exams for federal, defense, and other customers.
- Complete independent medical opinions regarding eye conditions.
- Perform perimetry requirements, charting 16 meridians, 22.5 degrees apart for each eye, and indicate the Goldman equivalent used.
Requirements:
- Education: Ophthalmologist (M.D.) or Optometrist (O.D.) from an accredited university or college.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of post-graduate experience as an Ophthalmologist or Optometrist.
- Certification: Unrestricted State medical licensure without limitations to perform full scope of authorized practice.
- Clearance: Ability to pass a medical clearance and obtain and maintain government clearances (LARS, Public Trust, NACI, BGI, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience conducting occupational/disability medical examinations.
Work Schedule and Compensation:
- Flexible Schedule: Appointments are typically scheduled approximately 5 to 7 days of notification.
- Location: Augusta, GA.
- Compensation: Provided for each examination, payment determined based on specific requirements and type of examination performed.
Additional Information:
- Provider must complete required online training courses.
- Leidos QTC Health Services will run a 7-year criminal history and sex offender background check.
- Once the BGI and credentialing have been completed, the Provider will be required to obtain CPEP Certification.
- You will be given access to the Provider Liaison (PL) department.
