Nurse Practitioner - 1099 Contract at Medical Group Alaska
As a Nurse Practitioner contracted with Medical Group Alaska, you will provide critical healthcare services to service members in London, KY. Your role involves conducting general medicine, occupational, and disability health examinations, including reviewing medical histories and interpreting clinical data.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting general medicine, occupational, and disability health examinations
- Reviewing medical histories and interpreting clinical data
- Completing written reports and generating independent medical opinions (IMO)
Examination Settings:
The examinations may be completed in-person (in a clinic setting), in the examinee's home, or at large event settings for the Reserve Health Readiness Program.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Occupational health exams to include pre- and post-employment and annual physicals
- Written medical opinions based on provided medical records/information
- Completion of Veterans Benefits Administration Disability Benefit Questionnaires (DBQs)
Requirements:
- Master's Degree in Nurse Practitioner Studies from an accredited university or college
- Completed Education and training in an US accredited, post-baccalaureate (Masters) program
- Minimum 2 years of post-graduate experience in General Medicine or Internal Medicine
- Minimum 3 years of post-graduate primary care experience
- Unrestricted State medical licensure without limitations to perform full scope of authorized practice
- Ability to pass a medical clearance
Certifications and Training:
Provider must complete required online training courses, up to 13 courses at approx. 7-year intervals. Additionally, Leidos QTC Health Services will run a 7-year criminal history and sex offender background check.
