Medical Gas Technician – Pumps & Compressor Division
Medical Gas Solutions, Inc. (MGS) was founded over 25 years ago to provide Medical Gas Service, Inspection and Testing of Healthcare Medical Gas delivery systems. We are looking for a quality candidate to join our family for the Medical Gas technician position in our Pumps and Compressor Division.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Complete preventative maintenance on medical air compressors and medical vacuum pumps.
· Change oil, filters, belts, solenoids and other required parts.
· Troubleshoot and calibrate Dew Point and CO sensors.
· Inspect and replace motor starters, couplings, scroll heads, and other related parts.
· Inspect and replace/install refrigerated or desiccant air dryers.
· Repair and maintain compressor pumps, vacuum pumps, and motors.
· Inspect and maintain electronic controls and alarms.
· Basic competency in technology (I-Pad, Microsoft Office and Outlook) for service reports, equipment service manuals and customer/office communications
The right candidate should be mechanically inclined, work well with customers, and be a good communicator.
Qualifications include, but are not limited to:
· 1 years of mechanical service experience. (HVAC or other mechanical positions)
· Working knowledge in navigating a Healthcare environment is a plus
· We will provide training and the opportunity to obtain the required ASSE 6040 Medical Gas Technician certification. Candidate will study for an obtain a ASSE 6005 Generalist certification ASAP after hiring.
· Valid driver's license
Additional Information:
· Requires working in both hot and cold temperatures, including exposure to high noise levels.
· Requires working in cramped spaces and awkward positions.
· Working on electronic controls and 120-volt to 460-volt 3 phase power wiring.
· Lifting 75 lbs. on occasion and climbing ladders
· Full-time position: Normal Work Hours are M-F: 7AM-3:30PM with some overtime available.
· Mandatory On-call after the 6040 Certification is acquired
· Service truck will be provided – must be able to park lettered truck at place of residence.
· Must be FLU and should be COVID vaccinated.
· Background check and drug screening proof may be required by certain customers (Hospitals)
· Compensation To Be Agreed Upon
MGS Territory:
· PA (roughly East of Harrisburg, PA), NJ, DE, MD
· Drive time to work location may be up to 2 hours each way
