Position Summary
The Clinical Nurse Supervisor provides high-quality nursing care to patients while supervising daily clinical and administrative operations. This role supports optimal patient outcomes and smooth clinic workflows through hands-on leadership and team coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver expert, patient-centered nursing care using clinical judgment and the nursing process
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans
- Collaborate with physicians and care teams to ensure continuity of care
- Educate patients and families based on clinical needs
- Assist with procedures and routine patient care
- Supervise clinic flow, triage systems, and patient scheduling
- Support, guide, and evaluate clinical and administrative staff
- Ensure compliance with nursing standards and organizational policies
Minimum Qualifications
- Education: Associate’s degree in Nursing or higher (Bachelor’s preferred)
- Licensure: Current and valid D.C. Registered Nurse license
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of relevant clinical experience with demonstrated leadership/supervisory skills
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit, walk, bend, reach, and stand for extended periods
- Must lift, carry, push, or pull up to 20 lbs.
- Manual dexterity for clinical and administrative equipment
- May require PPE in healthcare settings
