Medical Facilities of America, a regional leader in healthcare and skilled nursing services, is seeking qualified individuals to join our growing team as a Billing Specialist in our Lakewood, NJ office. As an integral member of our Business Office Services team, you will primarily be responsible for closely monitoring and managing the resolution of claims, payments, and other billing related matters for the healthcare centers you support.

What you'll do

Serve as a resource for and collaborate with healthcare center Business Office Managers and Regional Consultants regarding claims.

Perform detailed analysis of outstanding balances on claims and initiate necessary claim adjustments or manual submissions.

Track claim processing until resolution, maintaining detailed records of claim statuses, adjustments, and any relevant communication or follow-up.

Review for accuracy and post remittances daily to appropriate account(s).

Verify the accuracy of remittances and ensure prompt posting to the designated account(s) on a daily basis.

Research and reconcile insurance payment retractions.

What you need

High School Diploma or Equivalent.

Previous healthcare billing experience preferred.

Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis and interpretation.

Proficient with computer programs including accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
