Medical Eyeglass Center — the trusted name in optical dispensary development — is seeking an Optical Training Coordinator to support our mission of elevating optical performance and patient care across our partner practices.
In this role, you will lead training initiatives, coordinate client integrations, and ensure our optical teams are confident and proficient in both clinical and operational systems. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and facilitate optical training sessions and system onboarding calls with new and existing client teams
- Serve as the primary liaison between clients and internal departments, ensuring smooth transitions during integration and training phases
- Conduct hands-on training in optical workflows, CompuLink software navigation, and treatment plan implementation
- Support staff in understanding optical dispensing processes, frame and lens selection, and accurate prescription fulfillment
- Provide coaching on insurance processing, patient communication, and data accuracy
- Maintain training documentation and track completion to ensure ongoing compliance and performance improvement
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Optical experience in dispensing, fitting and insurance
- Prior training, management, or leadership experience strongly preferred
- Working knowledge of optical software (CompuLink preferred) and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
- Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills
- Strong work ethic, dependability, and a positive, professional attitude
- Flexibility to travel for multiple weeks in a row
