About The Role
Electrical Design Engineer
Background
The client is conducting a new product development effort that involves microwave ablation of soft tissue tumors. This is a new technical area for the client. The client has worked with a design contractor for initial product design, but plans to take over direct responsibility for the Electrical Engineering design. The electrical engineering design produced by the design contractor does not meet the client’s needs for being manufacturable within the Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) they are targeting.
The client has the initial electrical requirements and schematics from the design contractor, which includes a system control module (SCM). The client has identified a specific list of items to be addressed and corrected with the current design. Additional issues are expected to be identified that will also need to be addressed.
The initial contract duration is 9 months. There may be opportunity for further contract extensions or to convert to a full time role at the end of the contract, depending on project schedule and company budget.
Location
The client is seeking a contract Electrical Engineer to support the product’s electrical design activities and deliverables.
