Position Summary
MEDS Campus Director - Independence serves as the on-site executive responsible for operational, instructional quality, compliance. This position requires a hands-on leader who can maintain existing partnerships, develop enhanced educational modalities, ensure compliance, and model a culture of professionalism and student success. The Campus Director will oversee daily campus management, supervise faculty and staff, and serve as the key liaison between local operations and MEDS expansion.
This role is uniquely focused on guiding the Independence campus through a transition to blended educational models, enhancement of established partnerships while creating new opportunities for the community, and to position the campus for long-term growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily CNA/allied health training operations, ensuring classes, labs, and clinical skills instruction run smoothly and on schedule
- Supervise instructors and campus staff, ensuring consistent instructional quality, professionalism, and student support
- Manage student attendance, progression, and completion, including interventions for absences, missed skills, and at-risk students
- Ensure skills lab readiness, including equipment setup, infection control expectations, and availability of required training supplies/materials
- Coordinate cohorts, schedules, and rosters, including start dates, make-up work, skills check-offs, and testing timelines
- Promote exam and workforce readiness, reinforcing expectations related to professionalism, employability, and successful program completion
- Serve as the primary campus leader for student issues, including conduct concerns, complaints, and resolution planning
- Maintain strong partner coordination, especially for scholarship-funded students and workforce pipelines, ensuring timely communication and accurate reporting
- Ensure consistent campus standards, including classroom management, service excellence, and alignment with MEDS training expectations.
- Maintain full compliance readiness at all times, ensuring the campus is prepared for state surveys, program reviews, and internal audits, with complete documentation and training records.
- Track and improve student outcomes, including completion rates, state exam readiness/pass rates, attendance compliance, and job-readiness benchmarks.
- Ensure all student files, skills validations, and required forms are accurate, complete, and audit-ready, including proper retention of records and confidentiality standards.
- Provide timely and accurate partner reporting for scholarship-funded students and workforce pipelines (enrollment status, attendance, extensions, outcomes, and invoicing coordination as required).
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare-related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in nursing, phlebotomy practice, instruction, or program management.
- Current certification/licensure as a registered nurse, phlebotomist or healthcare professional preferred.
- Experience as faculty or staff in a higher education setting is preferred.
