We are seeking a compassionate Aesthetic Medical Assistant to join our aesthetic and wellness team. What You'll Do
- Assist providers during aesthetic procedures, including injections, laser treatments, chemical peels, and other non-invasive cosmetic procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms with necessary supplies, sterilize equipment, and ensure a clean, safe environment in compliance with health regulations
- Conduct patient intake by gathering medical histories, verifying insurance information, and explaining treatment procedures clearly
- Monitor vital signs and assess patient comfort before, during, and after treatments to ensure safety and satisfaction
- Manage electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems) accurately by documenting procedures, updating patient charts, and maintaining detailed medical documentation
- Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, confirming patient visits, and managing medical records efficiently
- Conduct lab draws and numbing services when appropriate
Skills
- Experience in medical settings is highly desirable for understanding patient needs
- Proficiency in medical administrative support including EHR systems (Electronic Health Records), EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and medical documentation practices
- Familiarity with skincare products, medications used in aesthetic procedures, and medication administration protocols
- Excellent patient service skills with a focus on compassionate communication and attentive care delivery
- Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, vital signs assessment, and basic life support (BLS) certification to ensure patient safety during procedures
- Experience with phlebotomy or blood draw techniques
- Ability to manage medical office operations efficiently within a fast-paced outpatient environment
- Understanding of medical terminology relevant to dermatology and aesthetic medicine disciplines
About You
- Confident and compassionate with strong communication skills
- Detail oriented and committed to maintaining a high standard of patient care and professionalism
- Active CNA or Medical Assistant license in good standing
