Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Manufacturing Engineer role located in Bellingham, MA. The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing manufacturing processes, implementing engineering principles in production, and contributing to precision machining operations. Key responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance efficiency, ensuring quality standards, and resolving technical challenges in manufacturing activities.
Qualifications expertise in CNC Tool Grinding, including setup, programming, and optimization of multi-axis grinding machines (e.g., Walter, ANCA, Rollomatic, or similar)• Extensi ve experience with CNC Gun-Drilling processes, including deep hole drilling techniques, tooling selection, coolant systems, and process optimization• Proven ability to manufacture high-precision components with tight tolerances, particularly for medical or aerospace applications• Solid u nderstanding of cutting tool geometry, carbide tooling, and materials such as stainless steel, titanium, and Nitinol• Experie nce with CAD/CAM software and CNC programming (G-code or conversational programming)• Strong knowledge of GD&T, blueprint reading, and inspection methods• Familia rity with grinding wheel selection, dressing, and process control for precision tool manufacturing
