Position Description:
The Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) in partnership with Children’s Wisconsin (CW) seeks a board certified / board eligible, Fellowship trained Pediatric Neurocritical Care Faculty member to expand the current Neuro-Intensive Care program. This position is in the department of neurology / division of child neurology. Rank upon appointment will be commensurate with experience.
Children’s Wisconsin program brings together experts from critical care, neurosurgery, physical medicine and rehabilitation, and trauma surgery to deliver comprehensive care to critically ill pediatric patients with neurological conditions.
You will be joining an active practice in the areas of neurocritical care and vascular neurology at Children’s Wisconsin.
Clinical Responsibilities:
Participation in clinical or basic science research is flexible based upon experience and desire. You will be expected to participate, to the extent that you may be called upon, in other administrative and/or service functions of the Department, Hospital, or College Committees.

You will be joining an active practice in the areas of neurocritical care and vascular neurology at Children’s Wisconsin.
Clinical Responsibilities:
- Provide inpatient neurology consultations within the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
- Participate in the outpatient ICU follow-up clinic, supporting continuity of care for recovering patients.
- Patient care includes but is not limited to performing appropriate procedures and consultations both with and without the participation of advanced practice providers (APPs), fellows and residents under your supervision. APPS with a subspecialty in neurocritical care are part of the team and share clinical responsibilities.
- Actively engage in the education and training of medical students, residents, and other trainees.
- Contribute meaningfully to the department’s academic and teaching missions.
- Participate in a growing clinical research program focused on neurocritical care.
- Collaborate with national research groups investigating pediatric neurocritical illnesses.
- Clinical care is based at the main Children’s Wisconsin (CW) campus in Milwaukee, one of the largest freestanding children’s hospitals in the United States.
- The Intensive Care Unit spans 72 beds across three floors, making it one of the largest pediatric ICUs in the country.
