Summary
As an Applications Systems Analyst I in the Department of Radiation Oncology, you will analyze user needs and develop software solutions. Support the configuration of software or customization of software for client use with the aim of optimizing operational efficiency. Also, may analyze and design databases within an application area as part of a team. During the initial six‑month training period, this position will be required to work onsite.
Primary Responsibilities
Appropriate experience may be substituted for education on an equivalent basis.
Minimum Required Education: Bachelor’s degree
Minimum Required Experience: 1 year
Preferred Experience: 2 or more years
Physical Requirements
Work requires occasionally lifting moderate weight materials, standing, or walking continuously.
Work Environment
Occasional exposure to dust, noise, temperature changes, or contact with water or other liquids. Work is performed in an environmentally controlled environment.
Sensory Acuity
Ability to detect and translate speech or other communication required. May occasionally require the ability to distinguish colors and perceive relative distances between objects.

Primary Responsibilities
- Supports the development, creation, and modification of general computer applications software or specialized utility programs.
- Analyzes user needs and develop software solutions.
- Designs software or customize software for client use with the aim of optimizing operational efficiency.
- May analyze and design databases within an application area, working individually or coordinating database development as part of a team.
- Provides application software development services or technical support typically in a defined project.
- Develops program logic for new applications or analyzes and modifies logic in existing applications.
- Codes, tests, debugs, documents, implements and maintains software applications.
- Carries out work assignments designed to prepare developer for promotion to the next level of application development.
- Communicates with application vendors to debug, test, and resolve application failures.
- Participates in systems upgrades, modifications, and reconfigurations.
- Knowledge of computers, electronics, digital media, databases, applications, software development, risk management, and information security.
- Customer support, systems analysis, troubleshooting, problem solving, and listening skills.
