What are the responsibilities and job description for the Certified Addiction Counselor position at Medical Clinic?
Seeking a highly motivated and dedicated CASAC or CASAC-T to join our experienced team of medical, nursing, and counseling professionals.
Responsibilities
- maintain professional therapeutic relationship with assigned patient caseload,
- assess patients and complete comprehensive psychosocial evaluations,
- work with patients to develop patient-centered treatment plans,
- conduct individual counseling sessions,
- facilitate weekly group therapy sessions,
- make appropriate referrals for services as necessary,
- timely and properly complete documentation in accordance with OASAS regulations.
Requirements
- Associate's Degree (Bachelor’s Degree preferred),
- CASAC or CASAC-T (must be in full effect, "pending" not accepted),
- two years’ experience,
- excellent written and interpersonal communication skills,
- ability to work efficiently as part of an integrated team in a fast-paced environment,
- sensitivity to the complex needs of patients in treatment for substance use disorder,
- bi-lingual (English-Spanish) preferred,
- Monday-Friday 7:00 am-3:00 pm.
