Job Summary And Qualifications
- This position oversees the operations of the Med/Surg units, including Orthopedics, Telemetry, Oncology, Neuroscience and the Nursing Resource team.
- You will plan, direct and coordinate all operational activities for areas of responsibility.
- You will develop policies, procedures, anf quality improvement programs for areas of responsibility.
- You will develop the capital and operating budgets.
- You will ensure areas of responsibility are appropriately staffed by hiring and retaining competent staff.
- As a member of Medical Center Arlington's management team, you will make a significant contribution to the public's perception of the hospital.
- Ensure operations run within budgetary guidelines.
- You will be responsible for positive customer satisfaction results.
- You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and guidelines as set by federal, state, local and other agencies (i.e, TJC, Medicare, TDH).
- You will facilitate positive productive relationships with physicians.
Education/Licensure/Certifications:
- Graduate from an accredited, professional school of nursing.
- BSN required. Master’s Degree preferred.
- Current Texas State RN license or compact license is accepted.
- Current Healthcare Provider BLS issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required.
- Minimum 5 or more years’ experience in a Med/Surg or related setting.
- Minimum 5 years of healthcare leadership experience required.
- Additional significant experience in area of specialty is preferred.
