What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clean Linen Technician position at Medical Center Hospital?
- Position Summary:
Laundry Support Technician processes, sanitizes, and distributes facility linens. Ensure strict adherence to infection control policies, maintaining a vital supply chain for patient safety and comfort. Transports clean and soiled linens from all areas in the hospital to the laundry department. Manually loading/unloading heavy wheeled carts and maintain compliance and sanitation standards Restocks carts. Issue pillows as needed and document usage to track inventory.
- Qualifications:
- Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Able to read, write and count.
- Must be able to follow instructions.
- Ability to communicate well,
- Training and Experience:
- Must have current and valid Class C driver’s license
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Previous laundry, dry cleaning or hospital Environmental Service experience a plus
- Job Knowledge:
Knowledge of all types of linens and general truck maintenance.
