Position Summary
Under the supervision of the Wound Care Nurse', the Patient Care Technician will assist in patient monitoring, patient care, clerical & receptionist duties, and unit coordination. Direct patient care is done under the direction of the RN and within the scope of sound professional nursing practice to be delegated. They will also perform other assigned duties for which they have been specifically trained.

Qualifications
- Education:High school diploma or equivalent. Be listed with the Texas Department of Health Nurse Aid Registry and Certified Phlebotomist or one of the following:
- EMT or Paramedic training
- Medical Assistant
- Completion of 2nd Semester Nursing RN program.
- Training and Experience:

- Ability to perform:
- Heavy lifting.
- Sustained walking, standing and sitting.
- Will encounter exposure to infectious diseases.
- Ability to work under stress.
- Varied working hours and shifts.
