Position Summary
Responsible for the provision of the designation process for the Neonatal Program at MCH. The neonatal program manager will be clinically active in Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and participate in the neonatal care. The neonatal program manager has the authority and responsibility to monitor the provision of neonatal ICU patient care from admission, stabilization, resuscitations, if applicable, thorough discharge, and inclusive of the Quality Assessment and Performance Improvement (QAPI) program. The neonatal program manager will collaborate with the Neonatal Medical Director (NMD) in areas to include developing and/or revising policies, procedures, protocols, and guidelines; assuring staff competencies, education, and training; and the QAPI program. And will also lead the neonatal QAPI meetings.

- Demonstrate appropriate leadership skills within 3 months of hire or transfer:Professionalism, Communication, Role Presentation; and, Modeling Decision – making and problem resolution.
- Completion of the following competencies within 6 months of hire or transfer: Effective time management, prioritization, and organizational skills, Adhere to established policies and procedures, Staff development and facilitation of learning.
