Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Provider to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care across various settings, including primary care, urgent care, and specialty clinics. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of patient assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning while ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough physical examinations and patient assessments to determine health status.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings.
- Provide acute and chronic care management for patients.
- Administer medications, including injections and IV infusions, as needed.
- Perform diagnostic evaluations and procedures such as suturing, I&D, and temporary splinting.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and discharge planning.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Educate patients and families on health management, disease prevention, and wellness strategies.
- Stay current with clinical guidelines and best practices in medical care.
Skills
Candidates should possess a diverse skill set that includes but is not limited to:
- Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks.
- Experience in critical care settings (ICU, ER) and familiarity with trauma centers (Level I & II).
- Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9 & ICD-10), CPT coding, and workers' compensation law.
- Clinical experience in areas such as gastroenterology, geriatrics, pediatrics, hospice & palliative medicine.
- Skills in performing procedures like phlebotomy, venipuncture, tube feeding, airway management.
- Familiarity with behavioral health practices and pain management techniques.
- Experience with telehealth services and health coaching for chronic disease management.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations including those with developmental disabilities or memory care needs.
- Strong communication skills for effective patient education and collaboration with healthcare teams.
