We are looking for a responsible Full-Time Physician Assistant to support the doctors' work and actively facilitate patient care. This individual will apply medical techniques and principles under the direction of a physician and will deal with a diverse set of patients while offering care and encouragement. The ideal candidate is an intuitive healthcare professional whose diagnostic abilities are only matched by their concern for their patients. The person in the Physician Assistant role will be responsible for meeting, assessing, and diagnosing patients in our clinic and providing them with healthcare services that meet state and national standards for caregiving. Responsibilities:
- Analyze records, reports, test results, or examination information to diagnose the medical condition of the patient.
- Treat internal disorders, such as hypertension, heart disease, diabetes, or problems of the lung, brain, kidney, or gastrointestinal tract.
- Manage and treat common health problems, such as infections, influenza or pneumonia, as well as serious, chronic, and complex illnesses, in adolescents, adults, and the elderly.
- Educate patients and their family members on diseases, epidemics, and prevention.
- Explain procedures and discuss test results or prescribed treatments with patients.
- Advise patients and community members concerning diet, activity, hygiene, and disease prevention.
- Make diagnoses when different illnesses occur together or in situations where the diagnosis may be obscure.
- Refer patients to medical specialists or other practitioners when necessary.
- Collect, record, and maintain patient information, such as medical history, reports, or examination results.
- Immunize patients to protect them from preventable diseases.
Requirements:
- 3 years minimum experience providing primary care and diagnostic services in a clinical setting.
- Experience working in a team of healthcare professionals and collaborating with them to ensure positive, effective patient experiences with our organization.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
We are looking for a candidate with the following educational background and certifications:
- Graduated from a regionally or nationally accredited PA program
- Has an active PA-C certification
