The Radiology department at Medical Associates is hiring a full-time MRI Imaging Assistant to join our team! This person should have a high attention to detail, enjoy interacting with patients and clinical staff, and are motivated by high-volume and detailed work. This position is a great opportunity for potential students or people new to the field looking to gain experience in Radiology!
Schedule: Monday-Friday from 6:30AM-3:00PM

Major Responsibilities:
- Greet patients, verify identity, and escort them to and from the MRI suite, assisting with changing of garments if needed.
- Assist the MRI technologist with patient flow to include with room preparation/turnover and equipment readiness while adhering to MRI safety regulatory requirements.
- Assist the MRI technologist with pre-exam chart prep as well as the scheduling of MRI exams under the direct guidance of the imaging team.
- Enforce MRI zone access and ensure compliance with ferromagnetic safety standards.
- Complete all other assigned projects and duties.
Knowledge and Skills:
Experience: From three months to one year of similar or related experience. Prior healthcare experience (radiology, imaging, medical assistant, or patient care role) is preferred.
Education: Highschool diploma or equivalent.
Interpersonal Skills: A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required in addition to normal courtesy and tact. Ability to work as part of a collaborative team. Work involves extensive personal contact with others inside and /or outside the organization and is usually of a personal or sensitive nature.
Other Skills: MRI safety training or willingness to complete training upon hire. MRI compatible wheelchair, Radiology associated computer programs. Ability to multitask and in a busy, patient-centered work environment. Strong emphasis on safety awareness and compliance. Problem-solving abilities and techniques along with excellent communication.
