Overview

PRN PCA/CNA – Northwest Arkansas Pediatric Clinic

Northwest Arkansas Pediatric Clinic is seeking a dependable and motivated PRN PCA/CNA to join our team. The PCA/CNA is responsible for rooming patients, obtaining and documenting vital signs, and supporting clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow. This role also includes performing point-of-care testing and assisting providers with procedures.This position provides support during high-volume clinic hours and plays an essential role in delivering efficient, high-quality patient care.

  • Weekday Evenings: Monday–Friday, 4:45 PM – ~7:00 PM (end time may vary)
  • Saturday Mornings: 7:45 AM – ~11:00 AM (end time may vary)
  • Hours are as needed (PRN) based on clinic demand

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Escort patients to exam rooms and prepare them for evaluation
  • Obtain and accurately document vital signs in the EHR
  • Verify and update medications, allergies, and patient information
  • Assist physicians and nurses with procedures as directed
  • Perform and document rapid tests (urinalysis, hemoglobin, guaiac, strep, flu, COVID swabs, PCR, etc.)
  • Conduct hearing and vision screenings
  • Support compliance with Meaningful Use requirements during patient intake
  • Review daily schedules to maintain efficient clinic flow
  • Must be able to work well independently and as a team

 

Qualifications: 

  • High school diploma or GED

Responsibilities

  • Take vital signs, direct patients to proper exam/treatment room, and ensure all medications are up to date. Prepare patients for examinations and other procedures
  • Assist physician with procedures as directed
  • Make sure Meaningful Use requirements are addressed and met as appropriately delegated to the check in process
  • Review daily schedules to ensure productive clinic flow; monitor charge tickets to reflect updates in insurance, patient demographics, etc.

  • High school diploma or GED
