What are the responsibilities and job description for the Registered Nurse position at Medical Associates of Northern New Mexico?
Medical Associates of Northern New Mexico is seeking an RN to perform clinical and administrative tasks to assist our MD’s in specialty and primary care. This is a fast-paced position seeing 2 patients per hour.
Sign-On Bonus $5,000.
8am-5pm shifts. No Weekends or Holidays.
Responsibilities
- Prep charts for provider to assure that all information required for patient visit is ready
- Continuously communicate with the provider concerning cancellations, reschedules, no-shows, and specific needs of patients on the schedule
- Clean and prepare exam rooms prior to patient appointments
- Room patient by collecting and documenting vitals, reconciling medication list, accurately recording patient history, and confirming purpose of visit
- Collect and prepare laboratory specimens
- Clean and sterilize instruments according to OSHA safety protocol
- Transmit prescription refills
- Administer vaccines
- Assist in minor procedures and tests, including thyroid biopsies
- Proficiently use eCW or the current medical record system; respond promptly and efficiently to telephone/web encounters
- Communicate with patients via telephone as directed by provider
- Assist the provider with any additional tasks as required
- Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following safety standards and procedures
