Medical Office Supervisor – Medical Assistant
River Garden Hebrew Home is seeking an experienced and highly organized Medical Office Supervisor to join our healthcare team. This position is ideal for a skilled Medical Assistant with demonstrated front office management experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys balancing both clinical and administrative responsibilities.
The Medical Office Supervisor will oversee daily front and back office operations, support providers and clinical staff, and supervise an additional Medical Assistant. The successful candidate must possess excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to effectively multitask while maintaining exceptional patient service.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily medical office operations
- Provide leadership, training, and support to an additional Medical Assistant
- Assist healthcare providers with both clinical and administrative duties
- Schedule patient appointments and coordinate follow-up care
- Arrange and coordinate transportation for residents attending external medical appointments
- Administer injections as ordered by healthcare providers
- Perform EKGs and other clinical procedures within scope of practice
- Manage patient records, documentation, and office communications
- Ensure efficient patient flow and smooth office operations
- Maintain compliance with applicable healthcare regulations, policies, and procedures
- Assist with supply inventory management and ordering
- Serve as a liaison between residents, families, providers, facility staff, and external healthcare offices
Qualifications
- Medical Assistant certification preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of Medical Assistant experience
- Previous front office management or supervisory experience required
- Experience working in a medical office, clinic, or long-term care setting preferred
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work independently
- Demonstrated leadership and team-building abilities
- Experience administering injections and performing EKGs
- Reliable, professional, and patient-focused approach
