WHO WE WANT
As we continue to serve more families across Texas, we are seeking a Medicaid Caseworker to help guide families through the Medicaid application process.
This is not an entry-level administrative position. Successful candidates enjoy managing complex financial and eligibility-related matters while providing exceptional service to families.
The ideal candidate has experience managing cases, files, transactions, or complex administrative processes from beginning to end. They enjoy helping others, communicating with families, solving problems, and ensuring details are handled accurately.
This individual will become a trusted resource for families who are navigating long-term care placement and Medicaid eligibility. They will work closely with clients, nursing facilities, attorneys, financial institutions, and our internal team to move cases toward successful application submission and approval.
While prior Medicaid experience is a plus, we are willing to train the right candidate who demonstrates strong analytical ability, financial aptitude, organization, and a genuine desire to help others.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Manage a caseload of Medicaid clients throughout the application process Analyze financial records including bank statements, investment accounts, insurance policies, and income sources Gather and organize documentation required for Medicaid eligibility Communicate regularly with clients, family members, nursing facilities, and referral partners Work closely with support staff to ensure cases progress efficiently Assist in identifying potential eligibility issues and developing solutions Maintain detailed case notes and documentation Track deadlines and ensure timely completion of tasks Participate in case strategy discussions and training Build trusted relationships with families while providing excellent customer service Assist with facility relationships and occasional in-person meetings as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree, Associate’s Degree, or equivalent professional experience Experience in case management, loan processing, escrow, title, underwriting, banking, Medicaid, social services, healthcare administration, elder care, hospice, admissions, or other detail-oriented administrative roles Strong financial and analytical skills Ability to understand and interpret financial documentation Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong organizational and time-management abilities Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to learn new software quickly Comfortable working in a faith-based culture and environment

This position is primarily hybrid, with a combination of remote work, office collaboration, and occasional visits to nursing facilities or client meetings as needed. You would work at home for the majority of the time but you would need to visit nursing homes in your area occasionally to assist families.
