About the Company
MediaTek's Power Management team design power management integrated circuits (PMICs) and power management units (PMUs) for a variety of smart phones, IOT, automotive, and ASIC products. Our designs and products are widely used in hundreds of millions of devices each year.
About the Role
We are seeking interns with solid research background in one or more of the following areas:
- General switching regulators including Buck, Boost, BuckBoost
- Fully integrated voltage regulator for computing and data center
- Hybrid converters including Buck, Boost, BuckBoost
- Low quiescent regulators including Buck or LDO
Join MediaTek US in our San Diego, California office to develop the state-of-the-art power IPs as next generation power solutions as well as to join the cut-edging product engagement.
Responsibilities
- Paper and patent study, analysis, comparison, and present
- Behavior and transistor level circuit design, simulation and verification of power management blocks including SMPS (buck, boost, buck-boost…), LDO, voltage reference and other analog circuits meeting power, performance, and area specifications.
- Perform bench validation to correlate circuit performance and debug circuit problems with application engineers and testing engineers
Qualifications
- Students pursuing PhD or MS degree in Electronic Engineering or Computer Engineering and are expected to graduate between Dec 2026 to Dec 2027
- Knowledge or experience with Cadence IC design tools
- Knowledge or experience with lab tools such as oscilloscopes, multi-meters (DMMs) and e-load
- Switching regulator design experience
Pay range and compensation package
Actual compensation within that range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications.
