What are the responsibilities and job description for the Veterinary Assistant/Veterinary Technician position at Mediapolis Veterinary Clinic?
The Mediapolis Veterinary Clinic is a 2-doctor mixed animal practice. We see cats and dogs, but we also see pigs, horses, cattle, goats, sheep, and zoo animals No day is ever the same here. We work hard but value our time away from work as well
The Mediapolis Veterinary Clinic is currently accepting applications for a full-time veterinary assistant or registered veterinary technician. Former experience as an assistant or technician in a clinic would be ideal. Experience with farm animals would be great but we are willing to train on the job This position will involve both the animal-oriented tasks such as holding animals and assisting with recovery from anesthesia as well as phone and scheduling skills. We strive to provide excellent customer service, and everyone in the clinic is involved in the whole client/patient experience.
Qualified applicants will have the desire to provide compassionate care. People skills are a must as we are a small, tight-knit staff where everyone interacts with our clients, and all staff are cross-trained to serve as customer service representative when needed. A self-motivated individual who can also be a great team member with an upbeat attitude is our ideal candidate.
