- Administers, directs, and coordinates activities of the Medical/Surgical Unit and the SCU Unit
- Recommends, develops, and implements policies and procedures for both the Medical/Surgical and SCU Units
- Provides direction and evaluation of patient care delivery to ensure appropriate patient outcomes
- Maintains operational aspects of the department
- Provides leadership and direction of nursing staff by identifying needs and offering encouragement for professional growth
- Minimum of 10 years of clinical nursing is required
- Experience in nursing management is preferred
- Demonstrated leadership abilities; possess good oral and written communication skills; demonstrated interpersonal relationships in a manner which enhances communication, promotes conflict resolution, and facilitates staff development
