Account Executive

Summary

The Eureka Times-Standard, a subsidiary of MediaNews Group, is seeking an Account Executive to develop robust multimedia advertising campaigns for local and regional businesses.

What You Will Do

• Proactively prospect, qualify, grow, and maintain all sales activities, from lead generation through close in an assigned territory or category
• Possess a thorough knowledge of print and digital product portfolios; produce needs analysis and use knowledge to overcome customer objections to result in sales growth
• Understand how the competition sells their products and services
• Keep records of products sold and look for ways to increase revenue potential
• Create market presentations and sales proposals while working with the client’s budget
• Actively pursue and maintain an understanding of new digital trends in the media industry
• Analyze and interpret key sales metrics

Benefits And Compensation

The hourly wage is $15.85 cell phone stipend, and commission (annual on-target earning potential is $49,188 - $53,388 and in accordance with minimum wage). Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to geographic location, education, work experience, time in role, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, the Company offers eligible employees a variety of benefits including medical, dental, life and disability insurance, 401k, as well as paid time off and select paid holidays (all benefits are based on eligibility). Conditions Of Employment

• Travel – This position entails occasional driving for work assignments, in-person training sessions and/or meetings. The employee will be responsible for transporting themselves between different sites as needed
• Must be available for shift work. May be required to work various hours for coverage outside of normal business hours
