Key Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Perform General Maintenance & Repairs Troubleshoot and repair a wide range of issues including general carpentry, plumbing, electrical, drywall, HVAC, and painting.
- Lead Small Teams or Projects Provide guidance or oversight to junior maintenance techs or contracted workers during repair jobs, renovations, or inspections.
- Conduct Property Inspections Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance to identify hazards or needed repairs across all properties.
- Respond to Service Requests Address tenant service calls quickly and professionally with a focus on safety, quality, and resident satisfaction.
- Oversee Vendors & Contractors Coordinate with and monitor third-party vendors to ensure timely, compliant, and cost-effective service delivery.
- Maintain Worksite Safety & Compliance Ensure all work adheres to safety codes, property regulations, and company standards.
- Manage Inventory & Tools Track supplies and tools, assist with procurement needs, and maintain organized storage systems.
- Document Work Orders Accurately complete and maintain work logs, service records, and inspection reports.
To thrive in this role, you should bring:
- 5 years of experience in facilities or property maintenance (including carpentry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general repairs)
- Proven ability to lead or supervise project-based maintenance work
- Excellent time management, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Strong tenant/customer service orientation
- Ability to read blueprints, interpret building codes, and troubleshoot complex maintenance issues
- Must supply your own vehicle and tools (mileage reimbursed); valid driver's license required
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening
