About the opportunity - A mission critical role for Media.Monks is the VP, Group Account Director (Global). In this role, you’ll lead a multi-regional team and grow the agency relationship with a high-profile building materials company with international reach, while devising and delivering key strategic programs across the globe. You’ll be responsible for working cross functionally with agency partners, overseeing client financials and profitability, and mentoring, managing, and growing your agency team.
Our ideal candidate is a modern marketer who has a passion for sustainability, innovation and storytelling with a natural aptitude for team leadership, strategic collaboration, relationship building, and driving growth. We are looking for a business leader who has demonstrated:
- Deep understanding of marketing principles and programs with an emphasis on brand strategy, strategic global and regional PR and communications strategy, and digital marketing across strategy, content creation, social e2e and media.
- Ability to understand clients’ business challenges and develop strategies to address those needs.
- Proven track record of managing and growing multi-million dollar global accounts.
- Capacity to build and sustain relationships with senior clients, becoming their trusted marketing consultant and partner.
- Strong ability to identify new opportunities within current client relationships and design strategies for expansion, in existing markets, but also in new
- A comfort level with data, media and analytics.
- Leadership skills that mean others want to work with and for you.
- Ability to command the attention of a room with outstanding communication skills that illustrates our understanding of the business and ensures our message is always clear and compelling to our client partners.
Your experience will include:
- 10 years of increasing levels of responsibility in marketing leadership positions at agencies and/or client organizations.
- Minimum of two to three years agency experience within the last ten years of employment.
- Multi-channel integrated global campaign experience
- PR and Communications strategy for nuanced and highly regulated industries
- Government relations experience
- Brand reputation management
- Brand and business consulting experience a plus
