Fleet Supervisor (Full-Time)
Job Overview
We are seeking a dependable and experienced Fleet Supervisor to oversee daily transportation operations and manage a fleet of vehicles and drivers. This role ensures vehicles are safe, compliant, well-maintained, and operated efficiently to support organizational needs.
The ideal candidate has hands-on fleet experience, strong leadership skills, and the ability to manage schedules, budgets, and safety programs in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily fleet and driver operations
- Schedule vehicles, drivers, and routes for routine and non-routine transportation needs
- Ensure preventative maintenance, repairs, inspections, and safety compliance
- Monitor fuel usage, costs, and operational efficiency
- Train drivers on safe driving, defensive driving, and transportation procedures
- Maintain records and reports related to fleet performance and compliance
- Use telematics or fleet software to monitor vehicle and driver activity
- Coordinate transportation needs across departments
- Assist with budget planning and cost control
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
- Minimum 5 years of fleet or transportation experience
- At least 2 years of supervisory experience
- Valid driver’s license
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit for extended periods and work on a computer
- Ability to lift or move objects up to 75 lbs
- Ability to walk through fleet parking and maintenance areas
