What You’ll Do
As a Medical Biller, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring seamless billing operations and financial accuracy. You’ll be responsible for:
- Performing charge entry, confirming patient registration, and processing claims
- Managing patient aging reports and assisting with patient balance collections
- Handling patient inquiries with professionalism and empathy
- Following up on medical claims to ensure timely reimbursement
- Using Practice Management Systems in new and inventive ways
- 3 years of experience in medical billing, preferably in a high-growth or fast-paced environment
- Strong working knowledge of medical billing procedures, insurance guidelines, and claim submission processes
- Proficiency in ICD-10 coding systems and policies
- Experience with electronic/clearinghouse billing software and health plan websites
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word
- Impeccable attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- A self-starter mindset—able to work independently, meet deadlines, and maintain a strong commitment to attendance
