What are the responsibilities and job description for the X-Ray Tech- (Limited Scope or Full Scope) position at MEDHERO Advanced Urgent Care?
MEDHERO is seeking a Medical Assistant/ X-Ray Tech with experience working both positions simultaneously, to join our growing Advanced Urgent Care. We’re looking for someone with a great attitude and a passion for patient care.
Must be able to work 12hr shifts and some weekends.
We have 2 locations in San Clemente, CA & Carlsbad, CA
An ideal candidate is willing to work at both locations.
Job Responsibilities: Ideal candidate will perform Medical Assistant front and back office duties within the scope of practice, with the ability to multi-task while maintaining efficiency. Ability to perform limited x-ray procedures to include chest, torso, and extremities. Prepare patients for procedures. Logs radiographic procedures. Maintaining/managing x-ray equipment/x-ray room. Assist provider in the back office.
Answering calls Assisting nursing staff as needed.
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Graduate from an accredited program
- Current CPR certificate OR willing to obtain it in 30 days
- Experience with Checking patients in, ideally in an urgent care/outpatient setting
- Ability to assess vital signs
- Experience interacting with patients via telephone
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations
- Effective communication and customer service skills
- California Limited X-ray Certification or Full Scope ARRT Certification.
