What You'll Bring

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous experience in medical billing and revenue cycle management
• Strong Accounts Receivable (AR) follow-up and insurance appeals experience
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• High attention to detail with a proven record of accuracy
• Experience working in a high-volume medical billing environment
• Payment posting experience, including EOB interpretation
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently while contributing to a collaborative team

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with anesthesiology billing (preferred but not required)
• Spanish-speaking candidates are encouraged to apply for select positions

Key ResponsibilitiesMedical Billing

• Complete daily billing activities accurately and efficiently
• Enter patient demographics and charges
• Perform charge audits and billing quality reviews
• Review electronic claims before submission
• Post charges and payments
• Respond to patient billing inquiries via phone and email

Accounts Receivable

• Follow up on unpaid and outstanding insurance claims
• Research and resolve claim denials
• Submit appeals and corrected claims
• Work payer-specific denial projects
• Resolve clearinghouse claim rejections
• Communicate with insurance carriers and patients regarding claim status

Payment Posting

• Accurately post insurance and patient payments based on Explanation of Benefits (EOBs)
• Process electronic remittance advice (ERA) files and resolve posting exceptions
• Apply adjustments and reconcile payment activity
• Process patient credit card payments received by phone or mail
• Balance daily deposits and investigate discrepancies
• Process refunds in accordance with company policies
