What are the responsibilities and job description for the Commercial HVAC/R Technician position at Medford Wellington Service Company and Careers?
Summary:
Perform maintenance, repairs, and installation of heating, cooling, ventilation, and refrigeration systems, including, but not limited to ice machines, walk-in/reach-in coolers/freezers, RTUs, split systems, air handlers, exhaust fans, make-up air fans, and controls. Must have electrical knowledge as it relates to HVAC/R Equipment and controls. Ability to read electrical schematics. Ability to read/interpret blueprints. Must be able to participate on an on-call rotation for emergency service. Well versed with smart devices (e.g. Android phone and tablet) is a plus.
Relies on direction from management and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals and the ability to work and communicate with peers and customers.
Qualifications/Skills:
-4 to 5 years of experience preferred ( In the commercial service space)
-Must have at least S2 or D2 licenses ( S1 or D2 Preferred)
- EPA 608 required
- servicing walk-in and reach-in coolers and freezers, RTUs, split systems, MAUs and exhaust fans, and ice machines
- Journeyman license
- EPA Certification
- Valid Driver’s License
- Thorough understanding of the refrigeration cycle and related components
- Thorough understanding of basic HVAC/R controls
- Experience performing preventative maintenance and equipment inspections
- Punctual and reliable
- Interested in learning new things, eager to face a challenge
- Must possess excellent customer interaction and communication skills
Being well versed with smart devices (e.g. Android phone and tablet) is a plus.
