12 Month Administrative Assistant: Attendance Coordinator

12-Month Administrative Attendance Coordinator Primary Purpose Under the direct supervision of the Director of Human Resources provides support to the department for the purpose of employee attendance, workers compensation reporting and unemployment Essential Functions Management of faculty and staff daily attendance including maintaining administration software system for the purpose of sick, vacation and personal time. Maintains information regarding leaves of absence. Maintains information regarding leaves of absence maternity/paternity leaves/FMLA Manages workers compensation claims/communication Administers, maintains and authorizes unemployment claims Provides substitute and unpaid updates to the payroll department Prepares reports from the HR database as required or requested Serves as a system administrator for HR database for resetting login or user access Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Maintains various human resources documents Ability to prioritize tasks Ability to understand, apply, and use computers and software applications (Google, Microsoft Word/Excel). Ability to problem-solve job-related issues Ability to maintain confidentiality of information regarding school personnel Requirements High School Diploma (minimum) Associates Degree or higher preferred Successful experience as Administrative Support in Human Resources, a minimum of three years. Salary in accordance with the Medford Educational Secretarial Association Union Contract
